As a 75 year old ( English ) Rock / Fusion Jazz / Funk/ World music fan, i have to say that i am totally blown away by these guys originality & virtuosity, i'm guessing Chris Thiele does a lot of the writing, ( only because he seems to be the most eccentric of the group ) anyway i shall now be diving deep into the Punch Bros. rabbit hole & will no doubt have lots of fun discovering the rest of their work. ( P.S. also love Brittany Haas & Hawktail )
Long live Americana music & a big shout out to Whitney

The solo that Gabe does at 59:43 on "New York City" always makes me emotional. Lord, the mastery and passion he emotes through that violin is amazing!

I got out of the Navy 50 years ago... that backdrop is so calling me.... Then there's this fantastic voyage of their music. Carry Me away. Watch... At Break Down. Been there. It is frantic. General Quarters. All hands heave out. Save this ship and crew. My soul is a sailor

I was at this show in the front few rows and @ 21:36 in This Girl you can see Chris smiling directly at me while I was singing back at him. Will honestly never forget that moment, such an awesome show.

When i was a kid, Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix were my heroes.
I just bought a mandolin, and now i have a new one.

An audience to die for - boisterous and yet respectful, They seem to know all the band's material and love every second of it... and they sing on pitch!

Amazing. Heard them the first time ever today - their Tiny Desk - and immediately went to watch and listen to this. Could become a love story.

I've watched this performance a couple dozen times now. It's my work anthem. I have tickets to see Punch Brothers in March. I can't imagine seeing such a powerful performance live. Gives me shivers just thinking about it.

To me, the best part of this concert, by far, is a section that lasts less than two minutes in the middle of "It's Part of the Plan". Noam and Chris perform two solos, and OH MY GOD, the virtuosism is OVERWHELMING! Both solos are super short. One wishes they would go on and on, like in a jazz improv session, but no, it's just a taste of what they both are capable of doing, and they leave you salivating and wanting more. Again, the virtuosism in this band is unparalleled. I had the pleasure of seeing them in Dallas, and I can only say I'm so happy Chris decided to visit our planet.

The best thing about Chris Thile is his voice does not falter even a little bit from his live or recorded performances, its always spot on.

I was at this show, and had no idea it was being recorded. The new album is outstanding, and I love that they played some deep cuts! And all of us singing My Oh My is something I'll never forget.

Got to see these guys years ago in Lexington, Ky when they were How to Grow a Band. My son was a young aspiring mandolin player at the time and Chris was gracious enough to talk to him personally, sign his mandolin, and have a pic taken together. He's still one of my son's heroes.
