You seem to be one of the very few people who understand that rockets don't make mach diamonds in space. Thank you, major points for attention to technical detail.

And now it’s no longer just an animation :)

These are the best simulation animation ever...and the soundtrack is amazing...

"it's been 52 years since man has set foot on the moon. With the launch of the Artemis, that changes. Man is ready, ready to go to the moon once more."

people say its bad bc its expendable bc its "old technology" when most rockets today are still expendable. great animation btw, but just a little nitpick, the launch escape system and panels covering the service module are discarded 30 seconds after booster separation, not in orbit

Can’t believe this was just a concept so long ago and now it’s real.

GUYS IT HAPPENED! IT FINALLY HAPPENED…

Better overall, IMHO, than NASA's animations. Excellent work!

This is a really great animation of the SLS, great job man! It is beautifully done and the music totally suits the animation. The music gives you a feeling of US manned exploration space program finally taking another step forward after many years of delay following the space shuttle retirement. It will be great if you include the new markings of the SRB for EM-1 mission.

4.5 years later, we’re finally getting to see it :)

That was amazing information! One thing though the boosters dropped off too soon the boosters I supposed to drop off seconds before exiting the atmosphere. They were only in the stratosphere when they departed from the rocket. Other than that it was amazing and I’m so excited for Artemis one!

How did I not see this until now? This is AMAZING! The only little nitpick I have, pretty minor: the water vapour and smoke from the SLS will pour out both sides of the flame trench at the same time, the reason the shuttle's didn't until booster ignition was because the vehicle was asymmetrical. Because the SSME's lit a few seconds before the boosters, we got water vapour spreading through the air for a few seconds before T 0, at which point the boosters would ignite (on the other side of the trench), and their smoke would be thrown the other way. Because SLS is symmetrical, a better transition may have been white smoke (out both sides) first, then both sides transition to a yellowish dark grey as the boosters light.
Anyway, it's a small detail, and by this point I'm sure you already know it, so it's likely moot. The rest of the animation is absolutely STUNNING, I'd say better than NASA's official animation by a long ways (due to both rendering and camera shots). Great job, it looks fantastic!

Crazy to think that this is actually a thing now!!

ppl say it’s bad bc it used technology and stuff from old programs like Apollo and the Space Shuttle. Sure, it uses the Shuttle’s refurbished RS-25 engines and solid rocket boosters, and a lot of the design from Apollo’s Saturn V, but it’s a breakthrough!

Damn, everything just looks almost like real life.

3 years later, ICPS is now stacked on top of SLS and this is actually starting to feel close

as much of a mess (from an economic and technological standpoint) as it is, I can't wait to see this thing fly.
