This is my mum singing this song to express herself and to also express how she felt about her children... I grew up with domestic violence... I saw my mum suffer every day.. Behind all of her physical and emotional pain from my dad.. She always smiled because she didn't want us to see or feel her pain... My father is a monster... He abused, bullied her, emotionally and mentally tortured her every day... Sometimes physically... He would often cheat on her... I wished that I could have saved her... I feel so much rage inside of me because I... She's gone....I lost her when she was 47 years old... I.. I miss her....

I met this amazing women in my early 20s and I'm 33 now and I'm still in love with her deeply. She's recently gotten engaged. Yes it hurts but i hope she's happy. Everytime this song is played on the radio, it's always the light version. That's so annoying. The heavy version imho has so much more meaning!
