Problem with grass is that the ball will hit the grass before the full weight of it has hit the ground, so the area it hits is bigger than it looks to the naked eye.

Grass can be particularly confusing, because the ball touches the line and thereafter sinks further into the grass beyond the line.Very natural for a human brain to then picture the latter as the place where the ball bounced.

It caught the line. It's hard to determine if balls are in on grass but as long as the ball touches the top of the line grass and then skids a bit it is in

It may seem like it touch the outside of the line. But the hawkeye was showing it right on the line which i think is wrong. Technology isn't perfect by any means.

By that time the Hawkeye tech was just starting, with lots of errors, this seems to be one (couse even if it was in, by the video shown, the ball should have touched just the tip of the line and the hawk showed like full in 4cm more than the real one)

Your eyes can definitely play tricks on you when it's that fast
