This woman's name is Eva and she is 93 years old, she raised three sons who have moved around the world, and some of them have already died. This documentary film was shot on real events. Eva lives in the Carpathians in Ukraine and belongs to the Boyka ethnic group. Eva has lived her whole life without a husband, so she knows all the difficulties of men's work.

She takes pride in her beautiful clean home.
She is meticulous with everything she does.
She is so talented and artistic and her home is beautifully decorated.

I live in America but my mother was born and raised in a tiny village in the Urals. She never shared her stories but she had two pictures. One was of her mother and father and a brother with his wife. You can see the weathered faces and the hardship they had endured. My mother was 16 when she left them. I don't need to go on as many I'm sure understand how much strength it took to survive. I never met any of her family and it's unfathomable for me to understand the pain that she felt.
