I always find October so overwhelming. I’m in Ontario as well and it’s like ahhh all the things are happening, apple picking, pumpkin patching, corn mazing, festivals, thanksgiving, Halloween plus the Halloween parties it’s like
I’m considering taking October-December off for unschooling and going Jan-September 😅

When do you plan for math, Language arts, and all the other topics besides science? When do you start planning and preparing the unit studies? I've never heard of the Jot it Down program. I'm going to check that out. Have you ever done a home library tour? I see the books behind you and would love to know how you organize. Looks like a great selection of books and games.

So if this is all you do for the summer. When do you actually plan your units- beyond deciding the topic? Or are they all ready to go for next year before you do this part?
