Deco was literally the best attacking midfielder in the world for a couple of years and one of the main Barca players in that Riijkard era. Had a good shout at Ballon d'Or in 2004.
Declined suddenly in his last year at Barca and was only a shadow of his former self at Chelsea.

He's too overlooked and easily forgotten when talking about the great players of that decade. Could have been an all time legend if he just pushed himself to stay on top level for a bit longer.
