I'd imagine the true horror of this SCP is taking a selfie with your presumed totally cool and normal best friend and, since you can only see the mold via video surveillance, looking in the camera to see them looking like two month old bread.

Imagine being one of the civilians living in the town the Agent designated as a containment breach, only to watch as your neighbors, loved ones, and friends, are summarily killed right in front of you; with you being next. Sometimes you grow so accustomed with death in many of these SCP articles, that you tend to not think of how scary and tragic it must of been on the receiving end of it all.

I ran across this scp while playing scp:cb, and had no clue what it was. It never affected the player, so I never gave it much thought. It's a lot more creepy than I realized!
