I have an older version of this that I got when I was little and I never made swirly crayons. I always just picked broken crayons of the same colour to remake solid crayons.

Not weird at all, it is important to keep that inner child because if you ever have kids, they will love the fact you can enjoy a toy and play with them.

The best thing is to wipe it off when it is still a little warm. I got it pretty clean just by scraping the old crayon off with a chop stick :) The wood ones with the square ends.

As someone who's going down their penny-related Memory Lane, I actually had this as a kid. It may be, like, preschool-level me, though I think i used it once. I don't think it had a bulb, so I was just sitting there with my wrapped crayons in the machine, waiting for them to spontaneously combine.
