How to get around the Termini train station and travel smarter and safe. 8 tips based on my experiences. This video also contains practical advice on how to buy tickets to go to the airport and how to do it in a stress free way. You'll also pick up little bits of Italian here and there!

Arguably, the most important information that you'll need to know is how to approach the taxis and to decide which ones are honest and will charge you a fair price vs the ones who are looking to rip you off.
REMEMBER! Termini is a busy station and for as nice as it can be (and sometimes not!), it is after all a station and can get a little stressful. I can't stress it enough that you'll be a lot better if you can avoid the crowds.

One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that TrenItalia does reach more locations than Italo, primarily because Italo is still a new company.

Lastly, the information that I provide is to the best of my knowledge of the station. If you have any questions or if something isn't clear, leave me a comment below!

I watched several videos and this was the most practical/comprehensive and the only one that added vital words in Italian! So helpful, thanks!

On several early trips to Rome (before I knew how things are) I turned to the left after exiting the train and platform. Outside the station on Via Giolitti there are also several waiting, white taxis, eager to take your money. And they will. Twice-- again, before I was familiar with Rome, once in the car, the driver reported that his meter did not function. The second time this happened, I got out of the car. The actual, regulated taxis are in front of the station, as shown in this video.

It would be nicer if your captions run A LOT SLOWER. No one can read that fast. However, thank you for trying to share your experience with people. I did LIKE and hit that bell.

One thing that I have noticed right away watching your videos is the difference between your tips and details when you are an insider and a person that knows the city and the culture very well versus somebody that does travel for a living.

Excellent. Bravo Davide! I learned to accept and even like Termini over my many trips to Rome. I have always shopped at Conad, lower level Via Marsala side. I even bought a hairdryer there one year whn my rented apartment didn't have one. I'm looking forward to exploring more of the places to eat there since they renovated. I'm crossing my fingers for a late Aug trip. Ciao🇺🇸✈🇮🇹🛵p.s. I've used Baggagli at Napoli and Roma stazioni before. Very good tip!

This is a great resource..! Your directives are clear, great content, and I love that you have both English and Italian going on ...I cannot wait to see the rest of your videos. I have been to Rome too many times to count, and lately have been doing a month in the Spring around southern Italy, and a month in the Fall more to the north...(Venice, Garda, etc..) but I am actually heading back to Rome and Florence this Fall trip, so it will be nice to refresh in my mind a few things by watching your videos. Thank you!

Ciao and thank you for your informational video. Question: Should we buy our train tickets ahead of time from Termini to Fiumicino Airport? Travelling in July so I know it will be very busy. We will be purchasing tickets ahead of time from Naples to Termini. Thank you.

Hey David
So pleased to have found your Channel!
Could I please ask, if you pre purchase your ticket from Trentalia and get a print out with a bar code / QR do you validate that or go the ticket office to exchange for a ticket ? Thanks
Have subscribed and look forward to more videos and language tips 🙏🇮🇹❣️
