Another reason to start by the part 5 is: you warm up and remember the “Cambridge expressions”, + YOU MIGHT FIND SOME ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS IN PARTS 1-4 (!!!). By the latter reason i mean that in the texts 5-8 there might be target phrasal verbs / passive structures, etc. you have in parts 1-4 (💡)

I feel like at this point it's not about english anymore. It's about understanding the text and a critical and flexible thinking, little to do with the language itself

Part 5: multiple choice
1. Read quickly to absorb the idea of each paragraph
2. Find the exact answer in the passage

Cross-text multiple matching (matching info with a para)
1. Read the text quickly
2. Understand the questions carefully

Gapped text (a long text with 6 para removed)
1. Last line of the previous and the first of the following para
2. Find keywords: pronouns, linking words, …

I would recommend reading the missing paragraphs first at part 7. Then read the first paragraph and the second one (of the main text) and try to answer. This approach has appeared as a game changer for me.

I had this advice given to me for my czech exams but i believe it applies here too for question 5 read the questions first cause if you read the text and then read the questions then youll need to read the text again with the context of the questions, on the other hand if you read the questions first youll know what youre looking for from the start

I like to start with part 3 because I personally find it the easiest and it boosts my confidence, also it's quick enough not to take too much time before moving on to the reading part
