I have one just like it, except mine is blue. I bought it new in 1974. I also have a 1971 Schwinn Sting Ray, also blue, with a white glitter banana seat that I got new for Christmas. I've managed to hold onto them all this time. They are both hanging on my garage wall. Unfortunately I am no longer able to ride bicycles.

Nice! I've got a nearly identical bike back at home. same color, but is from '73. Really like the bike, it's the fastest I've been on (out of the 4 bikes I've ever owned). Haven't ridden it in a while though, took a tumble off of it and shattered my collarbone in 3 pieces back in August. Since then I've gotten healed and have been studying abroad, but looking forward to putting it back on the road when I get back!

I had one of those. Road the shit out of it
as a kid.
It weighs like a 1000 pounds. It's a decent beater bike that you don't nead a lock for.

That right there is what you call 40 pounds of quality. Seriously. DO NOT ride on those 50 year old tires unless you like to crash.
