Generating Drums with AI | Audialab Emergent Drums

Hey friends! Today we’re going to be taking a look at a new plugin that generates drum sounds using A.I. I’ve been really enjoying playing around with it lately, so I thought I’d give you a bit of an overview. :)

This seems like a legitimate AI generative system. There are lots of things that pretend to be AI but when you dig into them even slightly they clearly are using dishonest advertising, and really just iterating using a very simple model, or worse just cycling through a library 'randomly' (I guess the random function is what they mean by AI in those instances). The dead giveaway is always install size and being able to work offline. Which is practically not possible for any modern AI, which needs enormous CPU (like dedicated racks of GPU units running constantly) and a huge amount of training data. So it's awesome to see the tech being applied like this, I'd love to see what is happening with the variables at the back end.
