Running a guesthouse in the mountains of Georgia

Thinking of the summer holidays already? We suggest visiting the Pshav-Khevsureti protected area in Georgia. Barbara Jabanishvili runs a family guesthouse ‘Midamo’ Guest in the remote mountain village of Tkiliana. Barbara applied for a grant from the Local Action Group Aragvi (LAG Aragvi), a People in Need project, to establish her business.

“We are twelve people in the family, including my siblings and parents. We are permanent residents here and are intensively engaged in the business. My parents are in charge of transportation and cooking, and me and my brother offer guide services and reception,” says Barbara.
LAG Aragvi is supported by the Czech Development Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
