Interview with Billy & Susan Mail from Nat Geo's 'Billy & Molly: An Otter Love Story'

National Geographic's "Billy & Molly: An Otter Love Story" wowed audiences at SXSW, and now the film is streaming on #DisneyPlus. I had the pleasure of speaking with Billy and Susan Mail about the experience of welcoming a small film crew into their home to document the magical phenomena of an orphaned otter trusting Billy to help her learn to survive in the wild.

What first attracted me to the story was Molly the otter but when I discovered the location of the story was in Shetland...it was irresistible. I loved this movie! It was clear that Billy needed something to fill that hole in his heart (not having been a Father), but he also knew that Molly needed to remain wild. In the end, when he is snorkeling and finally 'gets' what Molly is experiencing—WOW! It's just a beautiful, wholesome movie!
