Wow… this is amazing! I will have the opportunity to meet this young man in a couple of days. I was the first black valedictorian in Indian River County 36 years ago. Back then we only had one public high school, which was Vero Beach High School. This young man has made history, and it will be my honor and privilege to meet him and speak with him at a ceremony recognizing us together in a few days. I’m so proud to come back home and be a part of this historical event.
