This video will show you how to install this OEM VW Handsfree Radio (Link to Prod Below), with no complicated wiring. The RMT 300 Bluetooth Radio is a great way to replace your broken or peeling VW radio, with a radio that has all the features you would expect in a brand new VW.

This RMT300 radio was installed on a 2009 MK5 Jetta

Please note when installing this radio, the following systems will no longer function. The steering wheel controls (for radio only), The AUX jack if you have another one in the car, the CD Changer, and the Satellite radio.

This radio is intended to be retrofitted into the following models if they DO NOT have Bluetooth.
VW CC 2009-2010
VW EOS 2006-2010
VW MK6 Golf 2010
VW MK5 GTI 2006-2009

I received the modified? or "properly finished" RMT300 Harness for my [2006 Value Edition Single Disc Peeling Radio] Jetta, from your company today and the install couldn't have gone smoother. I spent so much time back and forth trying to find options and I just wish people wouldn't be so careless when selling these Radios and listing Can Bus model VWs as compatible with the pre can-bus ISO Adapter that can found almost everywhere. It shouldn't be so difficult to explain but nobody should have to splice, re-route or by-pass such an easily adaptable protocol, just to get their switched, dimmable and SAFE to "maybe" function properly. So thank you so much for your help and for availing your very informative and easy to follow video. -JG

Nice clear video. But I think you should have tested the unit before putting the trim back in place.

Recently installed the rmt 300 and everything works well except the lighting will not dim or brighten along with dash lights. Any idea what would cause this?

I have a 2010 Jetta that has Bluetooth already built into the car.. What would happen to the existing Bluetooth if I were to install this? Also the RMT, is it a genuine Volkswagen part or completely aftermarket?

I have a VW GTI 2008. Other than the RMT300 radio, would I need anything else? I have no bluetooth module in my car. Also, would this make my steering wheel voice command button work?

My 2008 Mk5 Jetta has an audio Aux port inside the center console, I'm assuming this would not function anymore or does the wiring adapter harness address that? I know the RMT 300 has the aux port right on the head unit, but the out of the way convenience of the console aux port is very nice to have.
