I once played an even more simplified version of the chopstick waltz, because a girl asked me if I knew any piano songs. This other dude says "hey, I love that song." He steps up and plays the most impressive version of it I ever heard, moving all over the keyboard. It was soul-crushing how much better he was. But, it worked out: while he spent the rest of the night taking requests, I spent the rest of the night chatting with the girl.
