Awesome basses. Since I've bought my Action-A I've tried some other basses and I still didn't found anything that would beat it in versatility in use, it's overall excellent universal guitar - if you want it to sound low - then it will, if you want it pretty bright - no problem. You want to slap? Turn it to neck pickup, and it'll have a great, rich punch. You want to pick it? Give the bridge one a try - would be as bright, as most of the jazz basses, sound even better, when distorted (brilliant for the Lemmy sound-like). I love mine and I would never, ever sell it. Many of my friends, which are actual musicians (not the bedroom bassists, like me) - even my befriended luthier - were astonished by it sound and overall quality for it's price. I'd really recommend them for any beginner and intermediate players.

I think they all sound good. I play an A5 Artisan which is a really nice bass. Super low action, great neck and a very deep an tight sound.

The Cort Action V-A would probably work best for me. its sleek and sounds great

I bought myself the Action DXL, it's an awesome sounding bass for rehearsal and gigs, but maybe not so good for a studio recording. Especially if you have it setup for a brite sound. Overall it's great, sounds beautiful!

I got an old red Cort Action V passive bass with the angled neck pickup. Have had it for 8 years and it's finally getting an update. It will soon have black hardware and EMG MJ pickups. Can't wait start modding my baby!

Cort Action IV Passive is very good IMO... but "A" means Active

Used to play on a Ibanez SR300 Pearl White for a few years, bought it new for around 416 Euro, also own a cheaper Ibanez bass, what I did notice with these was it kinda felt they fell apart easier. So I desided to switch, and bought a Cort B4 plus MH, it did cost around around a 100 euro more, but so worth it. a overall stronger bass that seem to be quite solid compared to my Ibanez basses. Already been told that the sound on that bass fits my playstyle better.

all the active ones sound the same probably becaus your man has the preamps set the same but i love the growl of that passive one at the start

Yamaha is expensive, at least in my country. If you look at the price/performance ratio, Cort blows Yamaha and most competition out of the water. When people hear my Cort Action V and I tell them how much I payed for it, they often look at me in dissbelief.

I have Cort VI-A, it is good for beginers and cheap.

how good is it? I'm deciding between a V-A or a dlx, the V A dlx is over my budget so it's not a choice. The DLX clearly sounds better than the V-A, but I want 5 strings to not have to retune every time I feel like playing something different, I'd be playing motly death metal, so its some down tuning there
