I like how quiet and restrained the broadcasters are.
No histrionics or unnecessary chitchat.

Maddux was the best! Love these old games.

GOAT in my opinion is Maddux! This guy threw 88-90 all his career in the steroid era when big flies were the norm and how he navigated through lineups every 5th day was second to none in the modern era. I’ll never forget the CG he threw vs the Cubs. He threw 78 pitches! Pitchers today throw 78 pitches by the 4th inning!

This quality is fantastic. Little to NONE of the vhs hiss in most other recordings. Thank you for this. This is my happy place.

Subbed, and I would love any and all games you have from this era or earlier in this quality.

Lifelong St. Louisan and this game just popped up... Wow what a blast from the past and an extra bonus with Maddux, one of my favorite pitchers. What a gem.

Prime Maddux, Chipper and Andruw. This was, in my opinion, the best Atlanta Braves team in history. It was one of the best baseball teams in history. Imagine if you could put Andruw, Acuna and Hank in the outfield with Chipper, Andrelton, Furcal and Freeman in the infield. Pair them with Smoltz and Brian McCann and you have the greatest baseball team of all time.On the bench would be Prado, Javy Lopez, Heyward and Murphy. The bullpen would be Kimbrel, Avery, Wholers and Rocker. If dreams came

The movement on the ball was unbelievable. 10:15 that was a great pitch with an expanded strike zone. Same at 1:12:25 on Langford. Definitely a ball.

Wow this is awesome. Eddie Perez was a fantastic catcher. I can see why Maddux used him exclusively.

Pete Van Weiren used to frequent my place of work almost daily en route to Turner Field when the Braves were in Atlanta.

Still to this day he has the greatest voice for any announcer/commentator maybe the greatest voice ever.

I'm almost certain he didn't use any tobacco products because we sold them and he never bought anything except lottery tickets.

I was just a preteen who cried when the Braves lost in the postseason (I shed a lot of tears watching baseball if you know anything about baseball in the 90s) so being able to talk to him was special to me even though he wasn't even a player.

We lost him way too soon. RIP to, IMO, the best Braves announcer on TV and radio (including John Sterling who is still the voice of Yankee radio).

Skip Caray also passed away way too soon. The Braves TV/radio quartet of Van Weiren, Skip Caray, Dodgers Hall of Fame pitcher Don Sutton and Joe Simpson is the best announcing team in sports history.

Amazing Maddux threw a dandy after the 2nd inning. Amazing ball movement. Only one other pitcher I've seen like Maddux and that was no one.

Maddux pitches in his prime. The ball comes to the catcher's stance with pinpoint accuracy

I once hired Greg Maddux to paint my house... but all he did was paint the corners...true story!

Love Skips sarcasm, "Ryan's not afraid of making those pitchers work", Maddux running to receive a throw from Klesko from 1st base to make the out.

5:34 Don Sutton didn't always have the best delivery in the booth yet managed to be one of the best TV color guys in baseball history. A true great on the mound and behind the mic.

Thank you so much!!! I grew up with the Braves of the 90s. I wish I could find more games from the 90s. Much appreciated!!

2:55 "Langford, a .299 hitter against Maddux... that's pretty good". Right there is everything you need to know about Greg Maddux and how good he was at keeping the ball under his control.
