Thank you for taking me back to 1996 and my mid 20s. Feb 1996, when the song was released, was when I met, and starting dating, my wife. We married in late 1997, and celebrate 25 years of marriage next months :) Interestingly, Audra is roughly the same age as Alanis, when Alanis recorded this song.

Listening to this back-to-back with the original, the best way I can describe the difference between them is as follows:
This one feels more intimate and personal. More organic mixing and warm tone to the instruments and the singer really adds to it.
