It’s time for action to end tuberculosis!

Dr Takeshi Kasai, World Health Organization Regional Director for the Western Pacific, has three messages on World Tuberculosis Day 2019:

1. Help those infected with TB to be identified and ensure they receive a proper diagnosis and access to treatment that will cure.
2. Embrace innovation: make new diagnostic technologies and drugs available to all who need them.
3. We all have a role to play to end TB: health professionals, governments, civil society and communities.
