Boosted Board Extended Battery Range Test

Boosted Boards extended battery claims 12 miles of range (20km). But the actual range you get really depends on the type of riding your doing and the mode you're riding in.

In this actual range test for the Boosted extended battery I put the battery to the test by riding it in pro mode to see how far it will go. Pro mode is the highest speed ride mode for the Boosted and uses the most battery power. Fast acceleration from a complete stop and riding up hills will be the biggest drains to your battery.

In this range test I ride most of the way on a smooth flat surface in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I use the board for all accelleration (no push kick starts) to truley get a sense of the batteries potential. I also ride the board as hard as I can, going as fast as possible in all possible circumstances. I was limited in some areas because cyclists and pedestrian traffic was a bit high during my ride.

Overall, I was pleasently surprised by the range I accomplished on this flat out ride. Having the extended range battery for the boosted board is a game changer and really took my ride ability from short commutes to extended trips outside of my home area bubble.
