For those that complains about Bond "exposing" himself: Have you ever seen a Bond movie before?
Bond will never miss an opportunity to provoke potential villains, and it is a method that often works well. In this case, Bond knows that his cover is blown based on Zorin's reaction on his story about the "dotty old aunt". So Bond just decides to go all in.
