Fantastic video! Thank you. I'm glad the s22 ultra beats the s21 ultra in several scenarios (and will probably be even better with software updates), but I'm even more glad that the difference isn't that great to justify the upgrade. I'll stick with my s21 ultra until 2023 😁

Super comparison. Many, many thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for as an S21 Ultra owner. And I see my assumption confirmed: The S21 Ultra is so good in the photo area that the air for a big step is very, very thin. In many photos, I like the result of the S21 U better than the S22 U. But I see one thing above all: software. The full performace of the S22 U will be reached at the end of next year, when the successor is in the starting blocks. Just like with the S21 U.

Danny please include raw photography in future! It would be nice to know how good the raw files of the phones are since raw on phones also undergoes some processing.

Fantastic comparison!

Samsung has improved my second biggest gripe with the S21 Ultra: the portrait mode softness. I wonder if there's any chance of them bringing this to the S21 Ultra with a software update...

Now, can the S22 Ultra take night mode portraits with the 3X optical zoom camera? The S21 Ultra can't, which makes low light portraits look terrible unless you use the wide camera which is not at all ideal for portraits.

The S21 Ultra is still excellent, however, the S22 Ultra has had improvements where the S21 was not as good as the night videos. Good job Samsung!

!! I like the s21u actually, brighter more natural and less processed !! and I don't zoom in 1000x man to peak for differences , , .... Even samsung can't beat it's own S21u a year later ! i hope they don't DOWNGRADE it with future updates to make their new phones better !!!

Great video, can’t wait to see all of the content you’ll create on the S22. While the new S22 Ultra is awesome and better in many ways than the S21 Ultra, I can’t help but prefer the design of the S21 Ultra. I’d buy the S22 Ultra over it any day though.

Thank you Danny for this amazing review. I am very pleased to see that Samsung has finally, finally listened and reduced the typical over-sharpening and over-brightening. All past Samsung flagships did both to every photo regardless of lighting situation. Finally the textures that I saw particularly in the painting of the Minnie mouse, was dramatically better than the S21U which had almost smeared away the details in its super soft processing.
The natural detail preservation is super impressive and a huge step up from the last gen. The added contrast is something I hugely prefer as it gives the photos a more natural look.

S22 Ultra look amazing. Finally Samsung is leaving the "too bright" night shots. Night shoul look like a night. Best camera system on market right now. Great job.

I can't wait to get my S22 Ultra!! I pre-ordered the Samsung Exclusive Red 1TB. I am currently using the Note 10+ since it came out. 2.5 years later and it is still working great. I am still excited about getting the new phone. Awesome video!! I love what you did here. Thank you :)

I didn't know that there was that many differences with the camera! Thank you for the comparison it was very informative. One thing that does bother me about the new phone is the loudspeaker quality. It is significantly worse than the S21 which sounds way more punchier.
