I’ve been crocheting for over 50 years and I’m going to tell you you did an amazing job as a newbie. You devalued your own work. Had you not told us you was a newbie? I just would’ve thought that you’ve been crocheting for a couple years.

These are really good! I think you need to give your garment patterns a “blocking” which is basically soaking them in water, pinning them to boards and letting them dry. It looks like you are using acrylic yarn- so you might be able to use a steamer or an iron on low setting. I think that will help with the fit and hopefully you can get some more wear out of your items. Hope this helps!
