Dude, YOU! This is the kinda video I've looked for. I have 2 bloods and a burm and needed a chip review video. Reptibark sucks and I heard that Reptichip is the industry standard. Definitely a thorough review of valuable information. I know which direction I'm going in.

I've tried reptichip and then decided to try the FB coco block. I love Freedom Breeder, but not fond of their coco block. I noticed the change in coloration as well and also started to notice a smell to it when used in my racks that the tubs hold more moisture.
Had to try both products for my self and gather an opinion on them both.
Thanks for going through the process of testing the products in the manner you did.

Quick question. I got a Coconut fiber called *plantation soil* and its gotta frog logo on it, should I use it?

Great video brother! I use ReptiChip and ProCoco. It depends on which one is on sale. If ProCoco isn't on sale I use ReptiChip. I definitely do prefer Reptichip, but ProCoco is close 2nd. The only place I can purchase ReptiChip here in Washington State is Amazon. A lot of different places sell ProCoco.

Great info, more to think about when setting up tanks. Best thing is to pay close attention and clean often. My 2 cents anyway.

Do any of these have gnats? I’ve heard a lot of people say coco husk has gnats

Awesome video man....I’m a prococo user my self...love it...and it holds humidity really well...reptile bark never used cause it never sounded good...

Reptichip absorbs more because it was compressed more. Both that and the prococo have to be soaked to be broken down and used. Cocoblox by FB are less compressed and is meant to be broken up DRY then mist it down to add water as needed. It expands some but not nearly as much since it started closer to final size then the others. Also if u prep their block in the same manner as u would reptichip or prococo it will be to wet and water logged causing it to be more likely to mold. Proper preparation is key. I've used all three and am not supported by any of them. All are similar, prococo in my experience is consistently more fiber filled block to block then the other two. Reptichip and cocoblox are about identical except cocoblox is way quicker and easier to prep

Thank you for this comparison video. Did you ever test coco-prime from brian barczyk? It seems to absorb poop and pee much more. But i never tested ph and bacteria growth like you did in this video.

I tried Reptichip and it holds water too well !!. It's fine if you are using tubs in a commercial rack, or lidded boxes in a DIY rack, but if you try using it in a traditional wooden enclosure or in a lidless wooden rack it's nothing but trouble - caused mould after a week, and it was so full of dust, even though it claims to be dust free @t

Hey. Do springtails work for a bioactive bearded dragon setup? I know the question doesn’t go along with this video. But I’m just curious

I bought 5 blocks of FB cocoblox, and I found that after less than a week, it has mold growing.. I never had that with Prococo chips. Also in the one bag of use so far I've found a plastic coated wire and a piece of plastic.. I have never found that with Prococo. I am not impressed with the freedom breeder cocoblox.

Super bias and uneven playing field you didn’t even put the same amount of wood chip in each cup for the absorption test. Hard to watch.

You cut the Video every time you pull coco out from the Blocks . How do we know you didn't change the cups ?? Just saying !!! You should pull it and place it so we can see it at all times.
