I only found out that this exists as a style yesterday via an etsy advert in my inbox...well I knew it exists as it's been my own interior decor style for the last 5 years! I have had in mind Scandinavian design (light colours, lots of light wood) together with Japanese elements such as a Japanese calligraphy wall scroll and the general feeling of traditional Japanese interiors. Perhaps I have put a unique slant on mine though as it also incorporates Klimt artwork in earth colours (to reflect the time I lived in Austria) and a couple of turn of the 19th century Dutch art nouveau elements (to reflect the time I lived in NL).
