Thauma

The Greek term "θαύμα" means "wonder, miracle, amazement". Aristotle says it is the beginning of philosophy. One sees something miraculous and says, "how did that occur?" All our learning (and indeed all our teaching) must be based on this fundamental experience, especially as it regards the most basic questions:
"Who am I?"
"Where am I headed?"
"What is the purpose of my life?"
