Driving the LS1-powered MGB GT

The almost-finished LS1-powered MGB GT on the road! The car is a 1972 chassis that's been rebuilt from an almost-bare shell. Power comes from a lightly modified 5.7l LS1 V8 from a 1998 Camaro Z28, running through a T56 6-speed transmission and a Positraction rear end. The front runs a custom-built frame with Miata suspension and steering. The rear is a GM axle with a custom three-link suspension. The body was widened using steel flares from a Rabbit, and has been massively reinforced underneath to handle the power and torque. It's not quite reassembled after the paint job, there's a bit of chrome missing along with the fenders.
All the work was done in my home garage on jackstands, including the paint. It took about two years to build the car.

My first car was an early 1974, chrome bumper. It was pretty fun with 90hp; this thing must be a rocket!

Beautiful job man, I'm a very small time mechanic just doing oil changes and tune ups, I have really big aspirations for projects like that but I don't have the money at this point in time. Anyways my uncle has a 1973 mgb gt, that definitely needs restoration and I love what you did I've been thinking about doing a relatively similar thing, any tips you could give me?
