How Surat's sewage treatment plant works

Surat, with a population of around 70 lakhs, produces around 1010 MLD of sewage daily. With an installed capacity of 1655.5 MLD, Surat Municipal Corporation treats the sewage through 11 STPs. We went to one of the Sewage treatment plants to see how Surat treats its sewage water. Here is a look.

In some countries they are converting human feces to charcoal with some additives for cooking food.
