The theory of your dad being Zipper T Bunny makes sense since he sends the much loved Easter balloons; the dad could also be sending the regular balloons as well🤔

Zipper could be dad as well, men in japan usually work a lot, and he wants us to be happy on bunny day by dressing upp, the reason he sighs when you walk away from him could be warmth from his costume, he has a zipper on his back as well

I dunno, my villagers have mentioned the balloons to me a few times, which explains where they get different items not bought at my Nooks. I think it might be the aliens.
