I would give anything to watch Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Liev Schreiber as Sabertooth going to each of those wars. The opening sequence glossed over what would have been an incredible film. Watching Logan slowly come to grips with his near immortality, war after war, and watching his older brother slowly lose his humanity until he becomes feral is the movie I think we all secretly wanted in this origin story…

You don't say, "Fire" to an archer, you say, "Loose." What does fire have to do with archery? It was a command given to artillery troops employing cannons. Hollywood gets that wrong a lot.

The movie Breaker Morant released March 15th, 1980 with Bryan Brown and Edward Woodward has an incredible firing squad scene at the end...and historically accurate! :)

It wasnt a British firing squad. It was Ireland during their civil war after home rule was established, so Irish shooting Irish. Also his rank was indicated by the blue cuff rings.

Same thing on submarines, 'loose' is the command to fire a torpedo, not 'fire one, fire two', etc., otherwise sailors would think there's a fire onboard
