Freeze Spell VS Invisible Spell | Clash of Clans

Today we gonna see another epic duel in Clash of Clans. This time we’ll test how the brand new Invisibility spell compared to old classic freeze spell. Is it better? This is freeze spell vs Invisibility spell in Clash of Clans. Both only need 1 spell housing space. Can this new spell that need town hall 11 keep up with how useful freeze spell is? We’ll see.

Freeze Spell as we all know is mean to freeze anything inside its circle area. Affected area is not that big so we must choose our target carefully to maximize its effect. Affected troops or building will basically can’t do nothing and frozen for a short duration (5.5 Seconds at max level). However all friendly units inside freeze spell circle will not affected at all. Freeze spell is very easy to use, just freeze some defense that giving you a hard time. Freeze spell also easily combined with any strategy and usually can used to fill the spell housing space. Overall, freeze spell is a very good spell.

Invisibility Spell is new spell that come to Clash of Clans during this winter 2020. It over new kind of effect in this game. Like its name Invisibility spell make all units within affected radius become invisible. Unlike freeze spell that only freeze enemies unit, invisibility spell affect all units both enemies and allies. This unique characteristic of this new spell sometime makes this spell tricky to use and therefore not really easy to use. But still this spell is pretty cheap (only need 1 housing space) so we can use it to fill our spell housing space. All affected unit become invisible and cannot be a target from anything. Since enemies unit within radius will also benefit from invisibility spell it can confused our troops to change its target so we should be careful when dropping this spell. Invisibility spell because of its characteristics is not really suitable for assisting ground unit since it can confuse our troops but we can still use it to deploy fresh troops. Invisibility spell can be very useful to be used on deploying phase since it will protect newly deployed troops from any harm. Invisibility spell duration is pretty short (1 second shorter than freeze spell).

We going to start this comparison with standard test. Some defense building against minimum troops to see how each spell affecting its behavior. This first test I’m going to use wizard and inferno tower for whatever reason mostly because I want to. Both spell bring almost the same effect which is protection to our troop. While freeze spell prevent inferno to charge and attack by freeze it, invisibility spell prevent our troop to be the target of inferno tower.

Okay let’s tune it down a bit, maybe inferno tower is too hard for first test right? Let’s use the most basic defense in Clash of Clans, Cannon. We can see it bring no different whether we use inferno or cannon... maybe we can use inferno and cannon at the same time and see how multiple defenses can affect each spell performance. Looking good.. invisibility spell done a great job. But wait freeze spell also did a great job. Maybe we should change the troop, let’s use Giant.

While freeze spell basically give same performance while using giant or wizard. We can see that invisibility spell is not really effective or down right useless if we use on melee units since it confusing our unit and make it change its target. We finally saw one significant difference. Let’s move on to another test.
This time we gonna go a bit extreme and when we use extreme defense formation we gonna use P.E.K.K.A. Normally even P.E.K.K.A doesn’t stand a chance against this defense formation. Thank to freeze spell she can destroy one more archer tower this time. This time we can see invisibility spell bring a little bit performance gains during this test. To investigate even further, let’s use more than one spell this time. We can see clearly now that invisibility spell over great advantage during this situation since it prevent P.E.K.K.A from taking any damage.

So which one is better? Freeze spell clearly easier to use but invisibility spell when used right can bring great benefit but sometime can get a bit tricky to use due to its effect (make enemy and ally invisible). Anyway this new spell bring new way and new strategy to Clash of Clans which is great. This new spell can make attack strategy to be more creative and variative.

In my opinion, one of the best ways of using the invisibility spell is to use it for funneling troops (especially with super wizards).
When you use a freeze spell, defenses outside the range of the freeze spell can easily attack your troops. But with the case of an invisibility spell, you don’t have to worry about them. This results in much more stable funneling, which can be quite important while using the laloon, the hybrid, etc.
That’s the conclusion I made while watching youtube videos. In reality, I only use the E-drags in clan wars because of my troop levels..😢

True invisibility spell is hard to use but if you are using it as a freeze it’s better you see a freeze can stop 2-3 buildings from attacking troops but the invisibility spell can stop everything that could possibly reach it

I feel like the determining factor on which is best is determined by which type of player you are and what the situation is.

For example, if you're using a queen charge, invisibility spell could keep your healers alive while your queen gets healed - whereas a frost spell may not do the job as well.

Vice versa if your invisible spell isn't perfectly placed, it could cause your troops to go the wrong way, leaving key defenses like inferno or xbows to just nail your troops.

Invisibility spell great for combo battle blimp super wizard. It can destroy many things in the middle of the base like giga inferno, scatter shot, eaggle artillery, etc


But freeze spell is so usefull for freezing giga inferno, inferno tower multi/single, scattershot, etc

I think 🤔 the freeze spell is waaayyy better because it is on a lower level of spell factory and it is easier to use. Like if you agree 👍🏿!
