I can totally relate. Some people can't bear the fact that someone is simply different. Several friends told me that I was 'doing it wrong' when I used the matched grip. I guess that's just how life is. But how humble you are to revealing your achievement just amazes me 😂

i’ve played both, matched from 7-28 and then i switched. now i like the feel of traditional grip better. to me it feels very natural now, and although i play more bass than drums at the moment, every time i play drums, i play traditional. it doesn’t really matter. and i play mostly rock and pop.

Damn that sucks. I'm the type of guy that if everyone tells me I HAVE to do something, I literally can't do it. Traditional grip does look cooler though, and there is something to be said about that. Even in those old tony Williams videos when asked he said he plays traditional because of the way it made his mind "think" when he used it, like it got him into some zone. Which in my opinion is just an intellectual way of saying it looks cool and makes him feel good 😂
