Therefore, it has a series of characteristics, such as colorless and transparent, wide viscosity range (can be from 0.65 to 1000000mm2/s), small temperature viscosity coefficient, large expansion coefficient, low vapor pressure, high flash point, high and low temperature resistance, weather resistance, radiation resistance, low surface tension, high compression rate, anti-oxygen plasma, high insulation, shear resistance, film-forming, hydrophobic, defoaming, demoulding, high gloss, inert to materials, chemical inertness, no corrosion and physiological inertness. It is these characteristics that determine its wide range of uses.
Generally, dimethyl silicone oil can be divided into three specifications according to its viscosity range:
Low viscosity silicone oil 0.65~50mm2/s;
Medium viscosity silicone oil 50~1000mm2/s;
High viscosity silicone oil 1000~1000000mm2/s.
High viscosity dimethyl silicone oil is synthesized with high-quality new materials, with stable quality and in line with EU RoHS standards. Conventional high viscosity has 12500 viscosity, 60,000 viscosity, 300,000 viscosity, 500,000 viscosity, and other high viscosities can be customized.
Main application of products
Daily chemical industry
It can be used in cosmetic formulas such as skin creams, shower gels, shampoos, etc. It has excellent softening effect and silky feel, and has the functions of moisturizing and protecting the skin.
Mechanical and electrical industry
It can be widely used in motors, electrical appliances, and electronic instruments as an insulating medium that is heat-resistant, arc-corona-resistant, corrosion-resistant, moisture-proof, and dust-proof. It is currently also used as an impregnating agent for transformers, capacitors, and scanning transformers for televisions. It is used as a liquid shockproof and damping material in various precision machinery, instruments and meters. The shock-absorbing performance of 201 methyl silicone oil is less affected by temperature. It is mostly used in instruments such as aircraft and automobile instruments in occasions with strong mechanical vibration and large changes in ambient temperature.
As a defoaming agent
Since dimethyl silicone oil has a small surface tension and is insoluble in water, animal and vegetable oils and high-boiling point mineral oils, it has good chemical stability and is non-toxic. It has been widely used as a defoaming agent in the petroleum, chemical, medical, pharmaceutical, food processing, textile, printing and dyeing, papermaking and other industries. As long as 10-100PPM of silicone oil is added, it has a good defoaming agent effect.
As a release agent
It is non-sticky with rubber, plastic, metal, etc., and is used as a release agent for the molding and processing of various rubber and plastic products, and is used in precision casting. Using it as a release agent is not only convenient for demolding, but also makes the surface of the product clean, smooth and clear.
As insulation, dustproof and mildewproof coating
Dip a layer of 201 methyl silicone oil on the surface of glass and ceramics, and after heat treatment at 250-300℃, a semi-permanent waterproof, mildew-proof and insulating film can be formed. Use it to treat insulating devices to improve the insulation performance of the devices.
As a lubricant
Used as a lubricant for rubber, plastic bearings, and gears. It can also be used as a lubricant for rolling friction between steel and steel at high temperatures, or when steel and other metals rub against each other.
As an additive
It can be used as an additive for many materials, such as a brightener for paint. Adding a small amount of silicone oil to the paint can prevent the paint from floating and wrinkling and improve the brightness of the paint film. Adding a small amount of silicone oil to the ink can improve the printing quality. Adding a small amount of silicone oil to the polishing oil (such as automotive varnish) can increase the brightness, protect the paint film, and have an excellent waterproof effect.
