I'm late to the party but I got an essential tip: not only have extra used clothes on hand, but also have a means of changing your gait. Intelligence spooks across the globe are taught to pay as much or more attention to how a target walks and their general mannerisms as they do to what they're wearing, just simply having smoothed wood wedges to stuff in your shoes is often enough to change your gait sufficiently to throw off all but the best tails when combined with switching clothes and intentionally acting different to how you normally act.

Hygiene cannot be overstated as a problem. Filthy people and clothes can destroy morale very quickly, especially for the uninitiated.

My two most important bartering currencies are antibiotics and bullets. In a scenario where antibiotics are difficult to obtain, I think a person would be will to trade a lot for a life saving medicine, possibly even everything they own if their condition is bad enough.

Remember that high amounts of foot traffic will also get unwanted attention from the nosy neighbor informant. Vary the entry and exit traffic to include times to prevent Stasi from monitoring you.

Man I just want to appreciate the morale area. Some rando Americans sent us care packages of useful shit(whatever was on S2's list lol). Thanks for doing that randos! It meant a lot to 45-50 Marines in the middle of someone elses backyard.

Comment for the algorithm.
I like that you included kids toys and activities. There is a charity called shelterbox, all they do is stockpile boxes of stuff near airports and then fly them out for people who have been hit by natural disasters or war.
Something they always include is language neutral activities to occupy kids of different ages, little teddy bears, colouring books, toy dinosaurs and cars etc It helps a lot to keep the kids busy so the adults can get on with things.
Worth having a look at the tents & tools they put in the boxes, they have been tested and refined over decades of disaster work.

worm farm might be good for wet food scraps and some paper goods plus if you want start a small place to grow food with the compost.

I once got cut of while riding my bike. So I flipped him off and took off a little, fighting traffic like you can only do on a bike. A little while later while cruizing he pulled up next to me and showed me his badge through the window. I laughed at him but in reality I got quite scared. I was on my cruizer and had just landed a decent job where I had to drive and I knew I would loose my license over this. So when we got to the next red light and I saw him step out of the car I took off. I only got out of sight before I took a couple of right turns and parked it inside some appartment back yard. I put the helmet in my backpack and my leather jacket had yellow liner on the inside so I turned it inside out. Thank got I had a white t shirt under. So I walked casually up to the nearest bus stop and took a bus back Home. There were already police cruizers parked along the highway so I got lucky. Where I live they have to basically catch me in the act but I was nervous for a while. I went from Harley and leather to white shirt and yellow jacket in 5 steps.

I thought of some things to add.
Music: Find a way to keep an offline music library and either headphones or some speakers as appropriate. Cloud libraries or streaming services may not be accessible.

Useful gadgets: Not only children need stuff to do if you can't leave a confined space. Bring stuff for teens and young adults as well (bonus if it can help build a useful skill as well). An excellent example is some lock-picking tools and some practice locks. Or something to learn and practice morse code with. Some rope and a book of knots could be useful.

Toys: Some toys have a very high skill ceiling or nearly infinite variation and thus can keep someone occupied indefinitely. If you have a little bit of room to move, a yo-yo or some juggling balls are good examples, and don't forget the playing cards for adults and children alike.

Games: Any flat horizontal surface can be turned into a game board with a few simple lines drawn on. Consider drawing game boards on floors, desks, tables, beds or chairs. Then you only need a bag of game pieces. This works for chess, checkers, and Go, which all have enough depth to keep people occupied for quite a while.

Work out: Depending on the space, just a small area where you can do pushups, situps, wall-sits and other simple exercise could be very good. Consider a roll up foam mat, jump-rope, and maybe even kettlebells.

Good shoes. The likelihood of people showing up in office shoes that are not suited for serious use is pretty high. That was ironically one of my biggest takeaways from 9-11: watching women walking barefooted through ash and debris because they all wore heels to work that day.
