【Valerian】People on this planet wash their faces with pearls.#movie

Humans and many alien races live together in a bustling intergalactic metropolis called Alpha, the City of a Thousand Planets, which has flourished over the centuries as a wonderful haven of peaceful coexistence for all races. Weyler Ryan (Dane DeHaan) and Lorraine (Cara Delevingne) have been chosen to be the guardians of Alpha, the two are enforcers for the Guard Department and are appointed to intercept the trade of a rare item. This rare item is mysteriously linked to a rare group that should have disappeared decades ago. They then arrive in the massive city of a thousand stars, Alpha City, when their commander, Arun Filitt (Clive Owen), is kidnapped from his command center and the pair begin to realize the unusual value of the item in their hands. The duo track down the killer and find themselves in the middle of a festering interstellar affair ......

The visuals were beyond incredible in this movie, it made me want to live on the pearl’s home planet and have their sparkly skin 😭, this movie to me deserves a sequal

Specifically Neytiri! The way she moves is similar and her smile gives the same energy.
Also the way these people touch their hand to their foreheads in greeting. It is like ‘Oel ngati kameie’

Genuinely… this movie had so much actually original and fun stuff. It sucks that it bombed because we always beg for something new, and Valerian was! (I know Valerian and other Jodorowski comics inspired a ton of sci-fi, but a lot of the stuff we saw in this movie was really different from the common sci-fi.)
I like this movie and notice cool details every time I watch it. It’s a fun movie with incredible design for everything from creatures, to cultures and tech.. if you need some inspiration, watch it. There’s so much there that something will catch your eye, guaranteed.

I saw this movie just for the Valerians their look and colour palette is so mesmerizing and I love that, they look so ethereal and dreamy, I also liked the shape shifter as Rihanna
