Hyundai i30 PD 2020-2021 Engineering Mode and Dealer Mode Access!

In my search for solving the Apple CarPlay Wireless Connectivity issue that has plagued my brand new Hyundai i30 (base model here in Australia), an amazing viewer, Sabri Simsek, highlighted that there is an engineering mode on these systems! Anyway, after a bit more further researching, and Sabri pointing me in the right direction, I was able to access the elusive ENGINEERING MODE!!!

I will now start to play with the cpu config (through variant config) settings to see if I can solve the problem, or at least improve it somewhat. Ultimately wired CarPlay would be amazing.

Thanks for the info used the 5 taps and one tap on info screen for engineering mode and don`t even need a password for any options on a 2019 tucson se awd korean made model in alaska . Dealer menu had to use the volume 7, 3, 1 with right button pushes in between and the 2400 code. But your vid helped me get to the engineer mode so thanks mate.

I can access the dealer mode but I could never access the engineering mode.

Kia Niro 2020 hybrid LX, aka the FE. This was the version that worked! I didn't see a method to install other Android apps in the menu though.

great tutorial! I would like that with the key I could lower the windows when pressing the open button and raise them if it lets me press the close button. My Fiat Stilo did it 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

In My i30 I have no information about rear. In simple info screen rear is no all time . Do you know how activate version or mode to swith on software with Rear information on CAN bus?

I can enter engineer mode, but the password I've tried several times and it doesn't work. My Kona is electric 2023/24 in Brazil.

Since following your advice on my Kia Picanto in Nov, I have no issues accessing Carplay with the car recognising my iphone as a USB. So I huge thank you. I am intrigued to know whether you have you ever changed it back to see if any updates to your iphone and/or car has fixed the wireless Carplay. Stay safe 😍
