US Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar gave a recent speech outside the Capitol building where she, along with a group of other Democrats, called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Much respect for Ilhan Omar for not only standing up for the Palestinians but for highlighting the American leaders' hypocrisy. All those who can sympathize with the deaths of Israelis but cannot sympathize with the deaths of Palestinians lack a moral compass and should be ashamed of themselves.

What an absolute hero of our age. I thank you Ilhan for your rage and for your humanity. As a Jew, I am absolutely nauseated at Israel's ceaseless abuse of the memory of the holocaust to justify their stomach-turning crimes in Gaza. NO Jew (or non-Jew) of character supports Israel. For all the horror we are witnessing, I see a ray of hope. The world has woken up to this tragedy and they are showing up in the many thousands to support Palestinians and call for an end to the occupation.
