I love how Scar King is just the polar opposite of Kong. Kong is a big bruiser that punches, Scar King is an agile fighter who would rather use a weapon than his fists. Scar King is also very graceful and acrobatic, so much so that he makes Kong look clumsy by comparison. Scar King's weapon also suits him perfectly. The whip is a weapon that requires a lot of practice, precision, and skill to use. Whips are also a symbol of oppression, which fits Scar King's role as a tyrannical conqueror. When Scar King fights with his whip, it almost makes him look like a ribbon dancer with how he expertly maneuvers around his opponents and strikes them with quick blows.

I love that pose in the thumbnail, I wish it lasted more than 2 frames!
They gave Scar King such dynamic body language that communicated more than a line of dialogue could.
This was Scar King's peak in the story, he had done it, he had escaped the Hollow Earth. His army was left behind but no matter, he still had Shimo. This was his moment to become Alpha of the entire Earth.
Tragically... from there it was all downhill for him.
Because The KING will not suffer this lightly.
