Toby didn’t understand why Sarah cried when she sang to him; she held him close, like she was afraid something would happen to him if she let him go, but she also stared out the window with eyes full of unmistakable longing… for what?

When she passed this was one of the I played over and over until I was sobbing. This was one of our favorite movies to watch together.

I just love its haunting beauty. And you cover it beautifully!!! I think Bowie would very much approve!

Labyrinth is one of those films that just never, EVER age. It never lost it's charm or beauty, and I don't think it ever will.

I watched this film couple of times with my sister, we're still big Bowie fans. As for a first date, well... my first proper girlfriend, we watched Labyrinth a night together and loved it, although it's been 7 years since she left the UK for the USA.

I put this (and the rest of the labyrinth songs) in a playlist for my son when he was born. He found my iPod the other day. We put this playlist on and he immediately recognized the songs he hasn't heard for about 4 years. This is one of my favorites 😄 thank you Violet!

This just took me back to the absolutely astonishing ballroom scene in the Labrynth. What I love so much about this cover is how it places the voice in Sarah's perspective creating a pseudo duet. As such, it presents Sarah's care and concern for the Goblin King as they shared their dance...the draw, the love, and the ache, while in its tone still portraying her longing to leave, confusion, and pain. How cool would it be to watch the movie now and sync this cover to the scene to hear both narratives play out simultaneously?!? The duality with its ebb and flow would be epic! Thank you so much for this Violet! Normally I would be against changing or adding to what I consider to be such a great piece of art, but in this case...KUDOS!
