Okay so im actually 9 but im gonna be 10 in 3 weeks (on august 5th). So it all started when in march i found out that my dad had alcohol problems. And my mom told me that She was going with my older sister to my cousins house to pick up something and during that time, My dad was drunk. I was sobbing when she left because my dad was drunk and he kept on telling me "whats wrong" so i tell him nothing nothing nothing over and over again and he wouldnt stop asking me so i told him i will tell you later then i went in my room and just used my laptop to play some calming music and then my dad was down stairs sitting on our guest couch making "drunk" like sounds like "aaarh" and you know and then my mom came home she asked my dad where is zoya? He said upstairs so my was going to tell me what we were having for dinner and she was me crying just sitting there crying. And she was like "What happend??" and i said "i have anxiety about dad." And my mom was like. come to your sisters room. and my mom & sis were crying too and my mom said "Zoya your dad has drinking problems." and then she said "He has been affecting me a lot but if he is affecting both of my kids, then we cannot stay with him. So then since march my mom has been trying to get a divorce but we have a law in where we live that whoever the parent is that makes money then they have to give the other partner $5000 a month. And we couldnt do that because that is our house mortgage and plus he would just spend it on more alcohol so we didnt. they just seperated and my dad lives at my grandmas house and this has been going on for a long long time so also at the end of june we had a wedding to go to so our dad took us to the hair salon and he left us there for a long time like 45 mins and he said im going to pick up moms dress for the wedding and we just got our hair done and were waiting for him. My sister has a phone to call him but he gave me his phone. And i think you guys all know why he did and if u dont know why it was because he didnt want anyone to contact him.Why? Because he didnt get my moms dress. He drank alcohol. so after a long time he came back and we were in his car driving home and he was saying things he only says when hes drunk like he was saying "Saara your such a brat" & "Shut the #### up" so i still had his phone in my hand so i recorded him and sent it to my mom and my sis was sitting in the front and she wrote things and showed me that "tell mom he is drunk" so i did. And my mom saw that video and as soon as we got home me and my sister saara ran upstairs to tell my mom that he is drunk As my sister was running up the stairs She said "MOM YOUR HUSBAND IS DRUNK AGAIN" and i just ran up in silence. then my mom was in the bathroom getting ready for the wedding but since she found out that he drank she missed that one day of wedding. So once we told mom everything my dad was sitting on her bed and my mom was in the bathroom getting ready but she stopped to yell at him and then my dads youngest brother came over to pick us up because we could still go to the wedding and we both went with him but my dad was there so when i was zoned out he got in that way to get my attention then when i was sitting with little kids watching them and he was literally dancing saying "it would be nice if someone gave me a hug right now " and he was hinting at me and i just ignored him so like halfway through the party i asked to go home so my uncle took me home and i stayed with my mom and we got snacks made some lemon water and watch tv and then she told me this at 11 when we went to her bedroom and watched tv (me and my mom cant sleep alone) then my uncle came back with my sister at 1130 and we all came down stairs to talk about my dad and my sister went upstairs and we just talked until 1230 and then they went home and we watched tv until 130 and went to sleep. Another time when my dad was drunk was when at like 1:00am he opened our house door and we have an alarm so after 30 seconds it goes off and we heard it then went downstairs but i stayed upstairs and my mom was yelling at him SO LOUDLY so my sister came down and told him "SIT DOWN" & "WHY DID YOU DRINK?" then i came down and told him in a calm voice "why did you drink. why." He wouldnt listen so i raised my voice a bit saying "Why did you drink??" and he said " zoya im so sorry" and he was telling my mom and sister to "Shut the #### up" so again my uncle came with my auntie to pick him up and take him to my grandmas house then they came back to talk with my mom and i love cooking and baking and it relieves my stress so i made tanghulu to relax and talked to my bsf then they stayed untill 1245 and then my mom, sister, and me were talking and watching tv and went to sleep at 2:00am And wanna know the crazy thing? My mom has been dealing with him for 15 YEARS. 15! so me and my sister comforted my mom and each other to this day. Also Its getting better! He agreed to get help and go to mexico for 2 weeks to get injection to stop his cravings for alcohol. And my mom has let him sleep and live at our house just 5 days ago and today we are getting a cat! So lets say my dad comes home drunk again but we have a cat in the future so that no one can yell and the cat can comfort us.
