In this episode, we will discuss whether to choose an apartment within the city over a landed property in the suburbs. In my opinion, I will always prioritize convenience because at this current stage of my life, I can do a lot of things leverage on the 100 hours a month wasted on traffic congestions.

my take on this situation.

Case 1: If money really no issue then just rent an appt in KL, and live there during weekdays. Then weekend go back kajang. At least the kids can still keep in touch with old friends and have more friends.

Case 2 : Rent out the Kajang house and rent a better appt in KL. Let the capital appreciation hit around 800k before selling it off.

Convenient and safety will be my priority, I don't hope to stuck in traffic jam more than 30 minutes, incase I'm too tired might not able focus on driving.

Having my apartment in bangsar south, I think is a good idea, easier to rent out or own stay also not bad.

The difference could be for own stay. In my mind, convenience always contributed to more people which equal to more noise. Haha

i can relate this with my own experience, ive sold my landed property that i bought (puncak alam) & buy apartment near to matrade, and able to save 4 hour travelling time (2hours each way)

Lrt also break down sometimes n the travelling hour by lrt from wangsa maju to pj may also take 45mins or 1 hour? Mayb can rent nearby to try first then only decide whether to buy or not.

Can also buy Lexa / Fera Residence WM which is near to Sri Rampai LRT station. Kelana Jaya Line is a premium LRT line for switching job around KL, PJ, Damansara, Bangsar, Cheras etc

Totally agreed. As I grow older convenience ranks higher to my priority.
To me being stuck in a traffic is simply waste of time.
I’d rather lie on my sofa staring at the ceiling doing exactly nothing, than being stuck in a traffic.

I will rent a place near the workplace and let the family continue staying at the present place. We can continue visiting the family once or twice during weekdays and go back to the rental place after dinner with family. Kajang is not that far. One most important consideration is that the EKVE is coming up soon and it will be very convenient to travel from Kajang to Melawati area once it is open.

If someone offered to give you back 15 hours of your life a week to do whatever you want, what would you value that at? That's exactly why I bought at Quinn. FYI - MCL is developing the Wangsa Walk car park at the end of this year and Wangsa Walk Mall following years

Hi sean i hve a question that most developer nowadays come out with gated & guarded (strata title) even for landed property with little facility but to pay maintenance fees. Is there any difference in value with those without (individual title) when come to sub sales or is the gated & guarded still consider a good buy since almost no option?

But travelling in lrt from wangsa maju to PJ (workplace) takes quite a long time also, unless I'm mistaken

bought a condo in bangsar south (previously stay in cheras) guess what, you can't have your family/friends stay overnight for parking. they even keep your licence card. delivery can't enter the lobby. pickup from foodpanda at gate OK lg laaa, imagine pickup groceries from Lotus(Tesco). the residence also like to throw trash on the floor. people nowadays are crazyyy shittt.
