Little problems in the TOTH today ^^

Total fail in that sequence! It also started out pretty well, with all the correct straps and animations being used. Then the vision mixer incidentally wiped to the second headline VT, which should’ve been a standard flash transition - but it was directed incorrectly. This caused the following strap to be animated when it shouldn’t have, followed by a swift cut from the screen to correct the misplacement. Then they had to stick with no straps for the remainder of the sequence due to the mess up, but kept the logo in place. Then the when it came to the 3rd headline, they had accidentally animated the titles when they weren’t expecting to, causing an even bigger mess up for the production! Thankfully the titles were immediately abandoned with a simple cut, but this did mess up the remainder of the sequence, causing back up titles to be quickly prepared. Then after the Jessie J SOT was played, Piers’ mic had failed to be turned up again meaning a majority of his cue was missed. Then the backup titles were swiftly cut to, although due to the difficulties in the sound booth, the title music was not turned up. This left viewers with the normal headline music for a few seconds, followed by an eventuate occurence of title music, without any V/O being played due to the sound cock-up. So yes, like i said, a total fail for the start of the show!
