Honda’s are great machines.

But I’ll take the Grizzly any day.

Have both of these (same colors even). Plus a Polaris sportsman. The Yamaha is by far the best. Used to be a Honda fan for 30 years but the grizzly is just snappier and the best part is the reverse is much better designed especially when immediately needed on a cattle ranch. The 2 flaws with the grizzly is the seat keeps popping up and the thumb throttle tires your thumb after prolonged use at a moderate speed (both are easily fixable aftermarket I’m sure).

When I bought mine, I went back and fourth between the Honda and the Yamaha, both are great machines, but the Yamaha 4x4 system in my opinion is better. and over-all ease of use is better on the Yamaha. We do a lot of trail riding and I would always prefer my yamaha on an all day trip then any other machine.

I love my '15 Rubicon. Foot shift, manual steering, front diff lock (true 4x4). The 475 engine is more than enough power for anything that I am going to do and I can do a full day of riding and not even empty the three gallon fuel tank.

A little more power. 48 vs 26. What are you smoking.

I think the reason the left brake, and the shift column being on the same side is on purpose to prevent people from shifting the ATV from different gears while giving it gas in a hopes to prevent damage to the transmission or causing an accident.

It, s easy to adjust the brake switch so as to engage reverse without touching the foot or left hand brake.

You can use either one of the hand brakes to shift

You didn't expect it to be that much more powerful and faster lol. You have a 686cc engine vs a 518cc engine. Yamaha has always had solid power out of their machines.

they do that thing with shifting so that your right hand is not on the throttle...

My 04 Rubi (bone stock except for exhaust tip and 25inch Maxxis Bighorns) makes 34hp, but the new ones make 28hp I wonder why the new Rubis make less power.

So back in 2008 Yamaha was building a machine with a better trans than the Honda, that had a nicer 4x4 system and otherwise was very similar to a brand new Honda? Time for Honda to step it up...

for putting the grizzly in gear you are supposed to use the foot brake
