I agree with you Ped- would have renamed the Main Stand the Howard Kendall Stand and would have renamed the Park End the Alan Ball Stand. Taking nothing away from what Sir Philip did for the club but just feel that there are more individuals in our history which merit a stand. Great vid COYB

Philip Carter is a strange one. the the Dixie Dean Park End stand sounds more appealing

Interesting comment from a supposed Ronald Koeman penned article in the Mirror where he backs Eddie Howe as the next English manager, and cites the young talent in England. He says in the article -

"After joining Everton this summer, I’ll now have the chance to work with two bright young English talents in John Stones and Ross Barkley. I know they were disappointed by events at the Euros - both the England team’s results and their own lack of impact. They want to prove their worth and they have to do that firstly through their club performances."
Interesting that Koeman states he gets to work with Barkley and Stones, yet supposedly Stones has let it known that he wants to leave.

I think the stand naming is a nice gesture but the gwladys will always be the gwladys to most fans as will the park end. I think a rename of the unimaginatively named main stand would have been a better option and rename the bullens. New stadium if/when it happens gives full options

I was resounded to losing him last year but the fact we have money now I'm not worried about finding a replacement. the grass isn't always greener and I think stones will find that out. never mind though and get in a solid no nonsense centre half

I'd have gone Howard Kendall, and Harry Catterick our 2nd most successful manager. What we really need is 2 new stands. As for Stones, send him on and spend the money on a proven international center back.

I'd take Iheanacho off of Citeh and/or Bony. As for Stands, totally agree with Howard Kendall but a no to Sir Phillip Carter for me, Dixie Dean, Alan Ball, Brain Labone or Dave Hickson to name but a few are more deserving imo

Don't get me wrong... I absolutely love Stones and I will be devastated if/when BUT BUT let's be honest we aren't really loosing anything are we ? Stones has been absolutely shite this last 12 months and hasn't really been that good at Everton at all. If he was 5 years older he won't even be known at all he's just a young prospect and nothing else... IMO RFM is by far the better defender every day of the week and 50m for Stones who's going down the nick (it will get even worse when he plays once a month) we can massively re invest that 50m in other areas where we need it... Stones isn't really a loss

I'd be happy for him to go, get some cash + player like hart or bony, get this Napoli centre half or go for Jose fonte and Portugal keeper maybe, either way I want him gone if he doesn't wanna play for us, what's the point in keeping him coz if he has another dog shit season his value will plummet also
