Sony's latest State of Play event took place today, September 24, featuring 30+ minutes of news and announcements for more than 20 games. In this gallery, we're rounding up all the major announcements.

Sony treated viewers to an assortment of PS5 and PSVR 2 games from first- and third-party studios. The existence of the State of Play leaked ahead of time, as did one of the show's expected reveals, the Soul Reaver 1+2 remaster collection, which was subsequently confirmed during the briefing.

Perhaps the biggest news was saved for the end, when Sony announced a Ghost of Tsushima follow-up called Ghost of Yotei.

In other PlayStation news, the PS5 Pro goes on sale in November, but preorders for the $700 console open on September 26. The slick-looking PS5 30th Anniversary system, meanwhile, is coming later in November. Astro Bot free DLC
One of the first big reveals from the State of Play was the reveal of free DLC for Astro Bot. It includes five new speedrun levels and 10 new bots to rescue. The free DLC launches this fall.

The gaming industry as a whole seems to be mimicking what Hollywood has been doing in recent years, by producing more and more remakes, remasters and sequels/prequels without taking many chances on creativity. IMO, this era of artistic media will hardly leave any legacy to refer to in the future.

I like the idea of Ghost of Yotei taking place 400 years after the first game at another major point in Japan`s history.

I usually hate these, but I thought it was really good. Some actual good remasters (Legacy of Kain, Lunar), a great 3rd party game announcement (Dynasty Warriors), and finally a new 1st party game to look forward to.

dcg you're losing touch man how tf else are sony gonna announce things? sure they could just put a video up on their channel but they had a lot to announce, may as well make a state of play, its not a showcase, we know to temper expectations, c'mon

This year made me glad I still have my ps2 and started collecting older games. Only had a few games on the ps5 I've actually played this year.
