Always find Ethan so interesting, he always sees things deeper round about way than the normal surface level

Just read this book yesterday. Recounted via various parables and recollections, a knight who knows his death is imminent authors a letter encapsulating the virtues, rules and concepts of knighthood that were instilled in him by those he admired, in order to pass them down to his young children. It's simple in places, and cribs existing fables and tales in some places, but I could see it being a jumping off point for parents who want to try and tackle tougher topics and subjects with their children, when they've moved beyond picture books. I enjoyed it.
