We call this old song "Xiang Yang Hua" and my granny likes it very much😂. It was one of the most popular Red Songs in 1960s coz the melody is quite beautiful and easy to remember, while it's said that Wang Yuxi created it within only 30 minutes in a hotel in Tianjin.
Main meaning of lyrics is about how Chinese farmers（who represent sunflowers）overcame the disadvantages half century ago and gained harvest finally. The song is fulfiled with confidence, prosperity and love. Really cool :D

The music shown in this piece is not accurate. 27seconds in bar 7 that chord is wrong I’m pretty sure, should be B and D, not D and F

Fantastic piece of music. I felt that the performer rushed through it to give the impression of virtuosity and in doing so there were errors in the phrasing and a lack of attention to dynamics. Heavy handed and far from elegant, this piece deserves a more respectful execution.
